![]() Black hip-hop artists are amongst the groups of people that adolescents look up to in todays society, it is often seen that these kids either aspire to be like their favorite artist or want to emulate their behavior. Whether it’s through the abuse of drugs and alcohol or the neglect of how their behavior affects other people these artists are extremely important to society. I’ve always pondered over the fact of why so many black hip-hop artists in today’s society portray such a negative image of themselves in the media. Is is because they’re constantly being scrutinized and looked at for their every move or because a good percentage of teenagers around the world look up to them as role models? ![]() ![]() Why is it so important for black hip-hop artists in todays society to have a positive image in the media?
